15 Interesting Billionaires Age 77 to 99!!

Think Like a Billionaire, Become a BillionaireBillionaires: Interesting, Enlightening Facts About Super-wealthy Women and Men

Hello, Everyone! Today's post features a Business Insider story about fifteen interesting billionaires, with enlightening details we** should pay attention to and learn from. As I read the story, I noticed recurring themes for many of these billionaires are:
  • their generosity/philanthropy/foundations
  • they have children and a spouse to share it with
  • they are business owners
  • they've lived a long-time to enjoy their wealth:
    • are affluent Senior-citizens
    • have maintained being independently-wealthy deep into their 'Golden Years'
    • are still brainy, vital, active and beneficent beyond age 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90
  • some or each of their children are prepared to operate an aspect of their business(es)
  • their children and other heirs are givers/philanthropists, as well
Two of my favorite, enlightening excerpts from this story are:
  1. "When WWII ended and Albert Gubay, the 82-year-old supermarket billionaire who founded Kwik Save, was a candy vendor with 80 pounds to his name, he made a deal. "I made a pact with God: Make me a millionaire — and you can have half of my money," he said. Now he's keeping good on his promise to hand over half of his fortune to the Catholic Church by placing his business (worth an estimated $690 million) in God's hands. When he dies, half of the money will go to causes identified by the Catholic Church, while the fate of the other half will be decided by the trustees of his philanthropic foundation."
  2. "Hillman and his wife have four kids -- two who live in Pittsburg, and two who don't -- and various grandchildren. He has arranged for each off his descendants to have his own rich foundation and free reign on how to spend it."  ~ Business Insider
