Business Entrepreneurs Succeeding in Unlikely Places Hello, Everyone! Businesses are flourishing in places that one might not expect them to like Kyle, South Dakota. South Dakota is the homeland of the Lakota Indian tribe. Lakotan, Karlene Hunter and Mark Tilsen are Co-Founders of a company they've established there called Native American Natural Foods.
Native American Natural Foods is the first company from a Native reservation to create a national brand. To do this they went back to their roots using traditional Native recipes. Their first product is a snack food called the Tanka Bar and it has really taken off and done very well.
